Proverbs 17:17 Fast | 1–7 January 2024

A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity.

An extreme time requires extreme measures.
A crisis calls for a time of extended prayer and fasting.
A brother is made for adversity.

We are joining IHOPKC, our international family of affection, in a 7-day fast to contend for the breaking in and a breakthrough of God. Our spiritual family is in desperate need of God’s help. It is time to stand with and for a company of nameless and faceless people who have interceded for nations for over 20 years. Now is the time for us to be with them and for them.

Ongoing allegations and heartbreaking news against IHOPKC’s founder have led to subsequent events that have caused much disruption, confusion, division and pain to the lives of many in IHOPKC, resulting in the greatest crisis that IHOPKC has faced as a house.

Therefore, we want to stand at the place of prayer and fasting to contend for the fire on the altar of IHOPKC to be kept burning, the fullness of their core mission to sustain a sanctuary of incessant adoration to Jesus, and grace to fulfil their sacred duty of night-and-day prayer that contends for breakthroughs in peoples and places, especially Israel.

This is also a time for the global House of Prayer movement to come humbly before Jesus, our beloved Bridegroom-King in the place of seeking His face. He is zealous and jealous for the purity and maturity of the global worship and prayer movement. He is coming as a Judge and all-consuming Fire in this season — to purify, refine and remove all that hinders wholeheartedness.

Prayer Focuses:

1. ⁠Corporate repentance (Acts 3:17–19, Isaiah 65; Psalm 24)

2. Reconciliation among the brethren (John 15:12–17)

3. The healing of all involved

4. Intercessory missionaries, staff and the leadership of IHOPKC

5. The Global Prayer Movement (Isaiah 24, 42; Amos 9:11)

6. Strength and grace for night-and-day prayer for all Houses of Prayer

7. Breakthrough for Israel (Isaiah 62)
